International Women’s Month is held every March of the year. So Caret Publishing dedicates its first-ever issue of Ampersand—a free publication for niche non-fiction authors—to all women non-fiction writers.
For context, the number of men and women authors have virtually evened out according to the latest studies. That said, in the non-fiction category, the men still greatly outnumber their women counterparts. While non-fiction is a very broad category, it’s worth noting that business books in particular have ranked as the second biggest non-fiction subcategory. That’s only behind religious texts.

This direct correlation could infer that the lack of penetration in the subcategory is due to the smaller number of CEO women who could be writing about their expertise.
